This is the portfolio of Sam Turner, an online buddy of mine. He did the design of his minimalistic online portfolio, showcasing his photography and his digital work. I coded the design into valid xhtml/css and added a little php for the navigation.

Movie reviews
On February 29th, 2008, the time was 23:30 in News. No Comments »
I’ve been thinking for a while how I could update my blog a bit more often. I’m not that busy with webdevelopment at the moment (involved in a project or two, nothing to write about yet though), and I’m generally a lazy blogger.
However, this evening I figured out something I love AND could write about: movies.
As of now, I will try to update my blog a little more often with movie reviews. I’ve got a very wide taste for movies and I generally like everything between American Pie and Zodiac. So check back now and then (or subscribe to the RSS feed) and I might be able to convince you off watching a movie you otherwise wouldn’t. Hopefully, you’ll then enjoy it. Else, I might feel guilty.
That’s it for now. Over and out.
Juno

Allright folks, this is my first movie review, so if there’s still some flaws, bare with me!
Todays review will be about the new movie Juno. It won an Oscar just recently in the category writing (original screenplay). And I totally agree with it.
The movie tells the story of Juno MacGuff (Elen Page), a 16 year young teenager that lives the teenager life. She goes to high school and, offcourse, is bored. A result of this boredom is having sex with Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). If it would stop there, there wouldn’t have been a movie, because Juno gets pregnant. At first she considers abortion, but after a rather traumatising experience (“Babies have fingernails!”), she decides to give the baby up for adoption. That’s where Vanessa (Jennifer Garner) and Mark Loring (Jason Bateman) come in. The up-town couple has been trying to conceive for five years, and they decide to adopt. The movie follows Juno through her 9 months, in which she tries to lead a normal life, but rather fails. Who could lead a normal life when you’re pregnant at 16…

About the latest project.
On December 1st, 2007, the time was 0:05 in News. No Comments »
Just wanted to let you all know: the latest project on the top of this page isn’t exactly accurate… It’s the latest thing I’ve added to my webdevelopment portfolio, based on the posting date, not on the date I made it.
I’m guessing I could do it with a custom field, adding other dates, but seeing as I’m waaay to lazy to do that, I won’t.
Also, I don’t know if you guys can see it in any way, but there’s three categories under Portfolio: Digital Art, Photography and Webdevelopment. At the moment I’m only using the last one. The reason I’m not uploading any digital art or photography is because I have a perfectly working deviantArt account and I’m busy making my own CMS, which would be showcased with my photography portfolio.
Slookbox

Slookbox is a combination of two scripts I’ve used for quite fair time now. Slook Webgallery and Lightbox. Slookbox is still in what you may call a very alpha phase. It works, that’s about it, as for the rest, it looks horrible.

Photography Portfolio

A photography portfolio template I just made. It’s not really for myself but more something I was playing with in my mind and wanted to see in real digital (HAH, an oxymoron!) life. Tell me what you think, I’m not too sure about the background… I’ve also added a hover effect on the working template with Prototype.
Contact form bug fixed
On November 26th, 2007, the time was 15:17 in News. No Comments »
There was an issue with the contact form. The PHP script didn’t correctly check if the fields were filled out or not (for the PHP programmers among us, the difference between isset and !empty). When I checked my email today, I noticed I received a blank email from my site, so whoever sent that, thanks. The problem’s fixed now, and I juiced up the Thank You note afterwards. If you wanna see it, send me a mail, if you wanna see the error message, try sending a blank one :p.

This was a website created for one of first clients. It was for a small hosting company the man started. The design, CSS and xHTML were done by me, the CMS behind it was done by Mathijs Depuydt. This website has been online for a while, but the client turned out to be a big liar who didn’t pay properly. It’s been taken offline now.

This was a small website I designed for a close friend of mine, Callum Keohane, a while back. The site was built on simple xHTML and CSS and featured some of his photography in the header.

Yes, you’re reading that title correctly. Bramme.net is finally finished. Technically speaking that is :p
I’ve been working all day to finish up on my own theme, something I couldn’t have done without the help of Mike from wpcandy.com. I owe him my gratitude!
The next few days, I’ll be putting all the content online and adding stuff to my portfolio, so, check back soon!
