Els Dufourmont
This was a website made for Els Dufourmont. She’s a painter from Belgium and started exhibiting her work and so she also needed a website to show off her work.I did the entire website development, from design to coding the backend. The backend manages the guestbook (approving/deleting entries), the news (write new item, edit existing item or delete item) and it also manages the portfolio section, allowing Els to upload new pieces, selecting one of the three categories and adding some additional, non required data. The uploaded images are automatically processed: the uploaded image is resized and watermarked and a square thumbnail is created.
This was also my first site I developped using CodeIgniter, this allowed me to construct the website with search engine friendly URL’s and a generally smoother development.
